The N8 seeks to benefit the economies and communities in the North of England by supporting collaborative approaches to research and innovation

Collaboration between the universities of the N8 is good for:

  • Researchers and universities – we connect research expertise across universities as well as with businesses and the public sector
  • Businesses and the economy – we support innovation and the flow of knowledge, contributing to the knowledge economy in the region
  • Communities and our place – we enable the development of solutions to the pressing challenges facing society

As well as our current areas of focus, we are always seeking new areas to collaborate and are currently working on developing ideas around the Interface of pollution and health and Supporting a just energy transition.
