N8 report documents and analyses evidence of efficiencies within the higher education research base

The Making the Best Better – UK Research and Innovation More efficient and effective for the global economy report, published in 2013, was produced on behalf of the UK Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and highlights how universities across the UK are working across a range of areas to improve cost efficiencies and the effectiveness of teaching and research.

The report was authored by Sarah Jackson, then Director of the N8 Research Partnership, during a part time 6 month secondment to BIS.
