Jonathan leads the team responsible for the operational and business requirements of the N8 AgriFood Resilience Programme.
The central AgriFood team provides assistance in all areas of Programme delivery, from strategy to business development, and works closely with the Academic Director and key Programme staff.
Jonathan holds a degree in chemistry from Heriot-Watt University, and an MBA from the University of Durham.
Prior to joining the N8 AgriFood team, Jonathan worked for 24 years with BP in a variety of leadership and project roles at sites in the UK and France. These diverse roles within BP included the construction of a novel biofuels research facility, the launch of an innovative development programme for graduates world-wide, and a period on secondment to the Energy Technologies Institute (ETI) working on sustainable bioenergy development.
Outside of work, Jonathan is a keen runner and cyclist and “allotmenteer”. He is a Fellow of both the Royal Society of Chemistry (CChem, FRSC) and the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI), and serves on the Regional Board of the CMI.
