Ageing and Health
The N8 Research Centre in Ageing and Health is focused on the application of new technologies in two areas:
- Assisted Living: the selection, development and application of appropriate technology to overcome disadvantages arising from ageing and to improve quality of life in later years; particularly use of advanced care technologies and using technology to enhance conditions in the home for the ageing population
- Wellbeing: the through-life application of behaviours that will enhance the experience of ageing and minimise the disadvantageous impacts; with a particular interest in all aspects of nutrition, including food content, food retailing and in measurement of wellbeing.
